He co-founded Green Lotus Hemp in 2016 with Carlos Frias, which achieved significant market presence with an exclusive CBD export permit to Mexico before the 2019 reverse merger into GL Brands, formerly Freedom Leaf, leading to his exit as interim CFO in 2020. Alongside Carlos, he co-founded Charly’s Cannabis in 2020 in Oklahoma, expanding to four states with branded Hemp THCa Flower and Charly’s Cannabis products, and together they launched Vertex AI. in 2025 alongside the $ICERAIDS memecoin. With five years of crypto investing experience, Alex leads Vertex AI’s strategic development and daily operations with a daring vision for the crypto trading space.
Carlos Frias, Co-Founder and Chairman
Carlos Frias, Co-Founder and Chairman of Vertex AI, contributes strategic oversight with a diverse background. He served as a US Marine from 1999 to 2003, followed by a career as a commercial real estate mortgage broker.
